POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for administering policies according to India law. S/he should have a generalist background, solid working knowledge of all aspects of HR management, employment law and operations. S/he requires strong recruiting/staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, project management, organizational development and facility/office management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for recruiting and staffing (sourcing candidates, screening and short listing candidate pool, conducting preliminary interviews, coordinating interviews, interacting with hiring manager, creating offer letters, candidate tracking, cost to fill, etc);
- Manages and addresses all concerns around performance, compensation, benefits and employee relations;
- Provides input on reward & recognition programs, incentive schemes etc. in order to enhance employee motivation and retention;
- Creates forums and facilitates interactions between employees and management on a regular basis;
- Manages the HR Business Partners who are dedicated resources for all HR interactions;
- Addresses in a timely manner any concerns around performance, compensation and benefits for all personnel of iOWH India. Maintains close contact with HR management at iOWH USA;
- Interacts closely with all personnel, employees and contract, to have a constant ‘finger-on-the-pulse’ and advises the Management Team accordingly;
- Assists iOWH India management team in creating and living the agreed culture and value systems;
- Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the FO (e.g. service delivery, financial performance, contracts, vendor management, legal and other compliance concerns);
- Manages all activities relating to office purchases (stationery, equipment e.g.);
- Manages all activities relating to maintenance contracts for equipment and appliances as well as outsourcing agreements;
- Responsible for all administrative activities that do not specifically fall under any other roles.
Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an MBA/ PGDBA or Post Graduate degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management or Industrial Relations. With 8 – 12 years of experience in HR and operations
- Experience in recruiting and administering compensation
- Experience working in the life science/pharmaceutical or health care industry highly desirable
- Excellent communicator in English – both written and verbal with the ability to interact with and positively influence all levels of management
- Must have experience in starting of new office & ensure its smooth functioning
- Experience working with a U.S. company or organization a plus
- Exceptional people skills and the ability to create/work in a team environment. Strong communicator with excellent written/spoken English and Hindi. Spoken Bhojpuri /Angika would be an advantage
- Travel between New Delhi office and Patna as needed
