EmploymentDepartment: Volunteer Job Title: Administrative Assistant Job Location: Volunteer Opportunities Description: iOWH is in need of a volunteer to help assist in finalizing the office clean up due to recent moves from one location to another and assisting other departments within the organization. We are seeking a vol. who can work 6-8 hours a week for 3-6 months. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. · Inventory and itemize the supplies that have been left in specific areas of the office from the office clean up day. Determine if supply can be reused or needs discarded · Organize main supply room by type, and determine if used items are in good condition for reuse or discard; organize shelves and clearly mark areas · Check each empty cubicle and office for excess supplies and clean work area in preparation for future use · Set-up each work area basic supplies · Kitchen duties · Assist in set up and break down of meetings, as needed · Work with Fund Development w/ mass mailings, media packets and any other filing needed · Assist in daily mail pick-up and distribution · Organize conference room cabinets · Assist in preparing HR packets · Assist in Patent Filing and creating labels for Legal · Assist in Finance filing bank statements, invoices, etc Job Requirements: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS · Minimum one year office administrative support experience is preferred. · Skilled in receptionist and/or general administrative duties · Maintain confidentiality and discretion as a rule · Able to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions and adhere to prescribed departmental routines. · Some college preferred. · Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure. · Must be flexible and · Must have some experience and skilled in the use of software programs such as MS Word, ACCESS, PowerPoint, and Excel. |
